Bios
Steven T. Sahlein
Founder / CEO

Primary Entertainment was founded by Sahlein in the Spring of 1998 as a simple "loan out company" to manage the revenue generated from his many entertainment consulting clients and services. To date, Sahlein has more than eighteen years experience in the entertainment industry, most as a senior level executive, producer, or project manager. In the course of his career he has held senior management positions for several notable companies, including senior vice president, Imageworks Entertainment; executive vice president, film and television, Picture Vision, Inc., (a division of Paradise Music and Entertainment Group); and managing director - Inner Circle Guaranty Inc., an entertainment industry financial services company.

Sahlein spent more than two years at Imageworks Entertainment, three years as vice president of post production for Steve White Entertainment, and four years in feature film post production with the Walt Disney Company. He has produced or supervised more than two dozen studio feature films and network television movies of the week (MOW's) for companies including Touchstone Pictures, Republic Pictures, Buena Vista International (BVI), Hallmark Entertainment, and the Walt Disney Company. Sahlein's impressive list of film and television credits includes (Sister Act, The Mighty Ducks I & II, The Rescuers Down Under(A),What About Bob, Beauty And The Beast (A), Cabin Boy, Aladdin(A), Dalva (ABC), A Friend to Die For (NBC), and To My Daughter with Love (NBC).

While at Picture Vision, Sahlein was a staff producer involved with numerous music videos and television music specials, including the Multi - Emmy nominated HBO's (Garth Brooks--Live in Central Park, Garth Brooks - Ireland and Back (NBC); Garth Brooks--Double Live! (NBC); and HBO's Janet Jackson--the Velvet Rope Tour--Live From Madison Square Garden). Sahlein also facilitated a number of multi-project and one-off output and production deals for his clients with major broadcast and cable networks, among them CBS Productions, Fox Family Channel (Now ABC Family), MGM Television, Saban Entertainment, Showtime, TNT and VH1.

Sahlein is working behind the scenes with several high profile entertainment clients to develop, produce and provide co-finance partners and distribution outlets for their active Feature Film project slates, Television projects, concepts under development, and interactive products. These projects range from family comedy to thrillers, dramas, and interactive media in addition to the standard animated and live action projects that remains a strong profit center.

Sahlein is now Executive Producing several projects in the pre-production and development stages, and continues to serve as a financial advisor, media advisor and consultant to the entertainment industry through both Primary Entertainment LLC., and Oxford Entertainment Partners Inc.


 
William (Will) Allen Pepper III
Project Acquisitions / Business Development Consultant

William Allen Pepper III has held the position of Director of Business Development and Creative Executive for Oxford Entertainment Partners since November 2003. Will, as he is know to his friends, received his Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Mississippi with a double emphasis in Management Information Systems and Marketing while working as Event Coordinator for the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, the University's new 90,000 square-foot $25 million showplace. As part of his Graduate Assistantship he was involved in the general operations of the business office and specialized in event coordination.

Mr. Pepper worked for two and one-half years under the various offices of Foundations and Corporations, a fundraising branch of the University of Mississippi, and University Relations, which is charged with guiding the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of donors who can provide major gifts to the University.

As Operations Assistant and Recruit Coordinator, his duties included but were not limited to speech writing, drafting grant applications, alumni interaction, database management, organizing campus tours, office technical upkeep and data gathering.

Mr. Pepper is a graduate of the inaugural program in the Lott Leadership Institute he developed skills in team building, introspection, communication, and global leadership which he has been able to apply to the business world. He served as an Intern for Majority Leader Trent Lott in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Pepper received his Bachelor of Business Administration in May 2001 with a major in Banking and Finance and an additional major in May 2004 in Managerial Finance. He was selected for Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, the Mississippi Bankers Association Outstanding Finance Graduate Award, and was a Lott Leadership Scholar. His social fraternity was Sigma Nu. Will served as Business School CEO, on the Business School Advisory Board, as a member of Delta Sigma Pi (Honorary Business Fraternity) and Financiers Club. While a sophomore, he was a Co-Founder and President of Students in Free Enterprise, a student led fundraising program that brought then-President of the New York Stock Exchange Bill Johnson to the campus for a formal dinner with UM alumni, faculty, students and friends from which the proceeds created the University of Mississippi Holman Business School Endowment.

Mr. Pepper is a Co-Director / Founding Member of the Oxford Film Fest now on it's 5th season. He now lives in Oxford, Mississippi.
